Tottenham fire at White Hart Lane warehouse sees over 140 firefighters tackle north London blaze

A MASSIVE blaze has broken out at a warehouse on Tottenham's White Hart Lane tonight.

Black plumes of smoke have been spotted in the sky, with 140 fire fighters rushing to the scene.

One person was taken to hospital with hand burns after the fire.

The inferno is around a mile from Tottenham Hotspur's White Hart Lane ground.

London Fire Brigade confirmed they were attending after being called about 8.15pm, with 15 fire engines at the scene.

Station Manager, Sam Kazmanli is at the scene, and said: "This is a large fire, cylinders are involved so a hazard zone has been set as cylinders can explode when exposed to heat.

"There is a lot of smoke in the air. As a precaution, local residents are advised to keep their windows and doors closed.

"Crews will be working hard through the night to bring this blaze under control.”

Half of a single storey warehouse and storage units are alight.

Dramatic pictures show the flames consuming the warehouse, with shocked witnesses saying the black smoke was billowing across the sky.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.

Spurs are currently playing at Wembley while their new, 61,000-seater stadium is rebuilt.
