A handsome Edinburgh architect set to star on the Great British Bake Off is already the hit show's pin-up, with men and women saying he is the reason they will be tuning in.

The dishy contestant works at Richard Murphy Architects, which has won 22 RIBA Awards.

Baking has always been a huge part of family life for Tom and his siblings, who were taught to bake by their mother, a home economics teacher

The 29-year-old's family cherishes recipe books passed down by grandparents from both sides of the family. 

The baker also revealed on Twitter he bakes scones for his co-workers at the architect.
